Peyia, a homely village 14 kilometers away from Paphos and only 5 minutes drive from the popular Coral Bay. Like in many traditional Cyprus villages, a church forms a center of the village with small streets spreading all around. In the centre of Peyia you can also find almost all of the major services and several local shops, restaurants and bars, your choice of traditional tavernas, along with the local primary school, post office and fitness center.
Buying a property in Peyia can be a great investment for both long term living or holiday lets. Peyia is hugely popular with the largest population of British expatriates as compared to any other of Paphos villages with its abundance of holiday homes and apartments. Peyia is loved for its calmness, stunning views over the coastline and the amount of daytime and nighttime activities it has to offer.
Few nearby sights worth mentioning are the sandy Coral Bay beach, the Lara Beach Nature Reserve (famous for its turtles), the Paphos Zoo, Avakas Gorge hiking destination, the local Sea Caves, and the Sterna Winery in Kathikas, just a short drive from Peyia. If you’re interested in the nightlife, you can choose from a selection of bars and restaurants, taverns, karaoke bars in the main street of Peyia or the nearby Coral Bay.
Peyia is traditional, but thriving village with some of the best views that the Western Mediterranean coast of Cyprus has to offer.
